Brownbarrel grows in the north-east of Victoria and on the tablelands and south coast of New South Wales.

Heartwood pale brown.

Sapwood paler and usually easy to distinguish.

Texture medium and even.

Grain often interlocked Growth rings ivisible but not prominent.

General construction but not exposed to the weather.
