The trading name of Hoop Pine sometimes includes a very similar species Bunya Pine.

Heartwood pale brown.
Sapwood not clearly distinguishable.
Texture
very fine and even.
Grain
straight.
Growth rings
inconspicuous,Almost identical to Hoop Pine but slightly pinker and of lower density.
General Comments
Easy to dry but care needed to avoid blue stain.
Easy to work
Unsuitable for steam bending.
Glues well.
Common uses
Plywood, joinery, furniture, panelling.
