Dakau
Dakua(Agathis vitiensis) Excellent woodworking properties and a high degree of stability are important qualities of dakua makadre. Uses include a wide variety of manufactured items such as bowls, novelties, handles, picture-frames, etc. It is valued for turnery and carving. It is also used for decorative and utilitarian purposes such as panelling and bench tops. Substitute for New Zealand Kauri.
