Is suitable for general construction, mouldings, interior stairs, weatherboards and exterior joinery if treated.
  • It is commonly used for flooring, although hardness for industrial flooring is less than optimum.
  • Its appearance resembles Queensland Maple, indicating suitability for panelling and furniture.
    • Generally the timber works well. In the green condition it can be sawn and planed easily to give smooth surfaces except for some stringiness at the bottom of saw-cuts and slight chipping on quartersawn faces.
  • Turning properties are quite good and drilled holes are smooth with only slight roughness at the breakthrough.
